The Rock Island Arsenal Museum, the United States Army’s second oldest museum, is located on Rock Island Arsenal, a 946-acre island designated as a National Historic Landmark.  The museum is known for its premier firearms collection.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE QUAD CITIES:  

The primary focus of the museum presentation is "People, Processes, and Products."  For more than 150 years, Rock Island Arsenal's employees have been responsible for the design, development, manufacture, repair, and storage of a wide variety of military equipment required to support US Army Soldiers and service members of all the joint services.

The Rock Island Arsenal Museum is open to the public, Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. The museum is closed on Sundays, Mondays, Federal Holidays, the Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. A current photo ID is required for everyone age 16 or older. Foreign nationals must have a passport or alien registration card.
