MUSEUM WEEK EVENTS

The lumber industry comes alive again on June 8 with the return of The Sawmill Museum's Lumberjack Festival, from 11am-3pm. The festival is family friendly and features professional lumberjack competitions, kid's area, woodworker displays, and food.

Also for Museum Week, enjoy free trackless train rides Monday-Friday and 20% off gift shop items all week.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

An interactive adventure dedicated to showing how our area became the kings of lumber. The museum is very family friendly with every exhibit bringing to life a component of the 19th Century lumber industry. Tour the cabins of lumberjacks, navigate log rafts down our water table, captain a floating log raft simulator, meet our animatronic lumber barons, watch a log be sawed in our vintage sawmill, and take in the rich history of when logs and sawmills ruled the Mississippi River and the rails of Iowa and Illinois.

The museum sits on a green space next to Clinton's Mississippi River levee. Enjoy stunning views and walking path after visiting the museum.
